In order to achieve success, the UPHSL-MTCI equipped itself with up-to-date and well-maintained facilities and equipment vital to the trainees’ better learning outcome. Moreover, the training center has satisfied all the requirements for certification to guarantee to its trainees that its top priority is to help them optimize their learning potentials from the classrooms and practicum. Quality Policy
A competent, professional, and premier training provider for seafarers, maritime students, and aspiring seafarers.
To conduct quality training courses by providing well-qualified instructors/ trainors, and maintaining high state of preparedness of training facilities and equipment in order to satisfy the training needs of seafarers, maritime students, and aspiring seafarers in accordance with national and international standards.
To take part in the community development by strictly adhering to the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy of the UPHSL and diligently observing its well-defined and duly-established corporate social responsibility.
The University of Perpetual Help System Laguna - Maritime Training Center Inc. (UPHSL-MTCI) shall continuously review, update, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) in order to achieve, implement, and maintain quality standards in all types of work and training activities at the Training Center. All personnel/ staff are tasked to promote, implement, and strictly adhere with this policy and to thoroughly familiarize themselves with the contents of the Quality Manual. Trainees shall be assisted or supported according to their individual training needs for their professional development.

THIS IS WHERE WE ARE
Strategically located in Barangay Marinig, Cabuyao City, Laguna overlooking the vibrant Laguna Lake, and the stunning Talim Island, the UPHSL-MTCI which is some 50 kilometers away from Manila has approximately two (2) hectares of land and lakeshore area which houses the training center complete with credible pool of instructors, facilities and equipment.
HISTORY
The University of Perpetual Help System Laguna – Maritime Training Center Inc. was conceptualized and built in 2009 as part of the UPHSL capacity building measures to offer and provide quality maritime education program and training to its trainees, seafarers and aspiring seafarers in preparation for their shipboard deployment and employment. In his vision for UPHSL-MTCI, the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Perpetual Help System, Dr/BGen Antonio L Tamayo AFP(Res), aptly said “We need to preserve our country’s well-earned recognition as the crewing capital of the world through sustained education, training, and deployment of seafarers to the global fleet. The Perpetual Help System through UPHSL-MTCI can do its humble share towards this end”.
Strategically located in Barangay Marinig, Cabuyao City, Laguna fronting the vast Laguna Lake, the UPHSL-MTCI which is some 50 kilometers from Manila has a total of approximately two (2) hectares of land and lakeshore area which houses the training center complete with initial facilities including totally-enclosed lifeboat, row rescue boat, fast rescue boat, open lifeboat, inflatable liferaft, administration, registration office, faculty room, landship, fire houses, fire pumps, swimming pool with diving platform, boat davits, air-conditioned classrooms, dormitories, clinic, canteen, library, store room, electrical room, man-made lagoon, and playground, among others.
Responding to the needs and growth of the industry and in compliance with international and national standards, the UPHSL-MTCI was accredited by the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) on December 19, 2012.
